Hickory Hills Golf Outing 5/24

Here are some photos from our golf outing yesterday. We started golfing our 18 holes at 4pm. When we arrived, we were so very nicely instructed to take the first row of carts. (How does one note sarcasm in a blog?). So, our options were 16 or 3. We opted for #3 because April wasn't with us. Aren't we nice?! We didn't know the power it would have in store later.
The front nine took us 3 hours to play. We did let three groups play through, Amy and I drank 6 beers and three golf balls lost, total. The back nine we opted to play best ball. The back nine we played in a record breaking 1 hour 45 minutes. PGA watch out! I can't remember how many golf balls we lost in the second half of our game. But, we ended the day having found 4 golf balls, drinking 18 beers, losing the cooler 3 times, going over the bridge on the back 3 times, almost tipping the cart once, Amy falling out of the cart once, and eating combos, pretzels, and starburts so no one would eat their own arm off. Ooh, I almost forgot to mention the scores. A-ha ha ha. Too funny. Scores? Like we kept score!
After our 5 hours at the golf course, we decided to dine at a new establishment in Eau Claire. I think it's called Grizzly's although, I'm not sure. Maybe one of the others will remember. It was an amazingly fun day. Great idea Mik, thanks for putting it together!!!

Over the bridge on the front nine.
The beer cooler we dumped out of the cart three times. Amy only once. LOL

Look who magically appeared because we used the #3 Cart. I wonder if there is a Brett Favre or Peyton Manning cart anywhere. Hmmm.
April was magically in town to celebrate Bernie's retirement. Congratulations to Bernie. If you can't sell the Matco truck, we did come up with some options at Grizzly's.

Saturday, May 24th

Well, now that we have a picture of Sprout on here, I best be gettin' in gear and add some photos of Alex. This morning we went to Sam Davey Playground. Here is the Monkey on the monkey bars.

And now, from Alex.
I'm Alex and this is my playground. My playground is at school and I'm playing there. So, my mom takes pictures of me and I'm having fun. My school's playground is fun. There I was playing on the playground and some kids were there too.
This morning I was going to ride my bike to school but the chain broke. So, we put it back in the garage and walked to the playground.

Later this afternoon, Amy, Mikki, Tony and I are going golfing. I should have some fun pictures from that as well.
I really like my new camera. It has been very easy to use and is a good replacement for the one that was broken.

Vacation Prep

We are planning to go to Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone this summer. This last weekend we set up the tent to waterproof and clean. I can't say we've used the tent as much as we had planned but, this summer - Watch Out!! Alex has been a great helper with the vacation planning. She is very interested in our grocery list for camping. I just hope I don't forget the marshmellows. She may never forgive me. LOL. We also were trying to make sure everything will fit in the car. If you see a over loaded Mercury Milan this summer, that may be us.

And, last but not least, my new camera arrived on Monday. It has been a long 6 weeks without a camera. As soon as I figure it out, I will post some new pictures. Sprout was posing all last night for me. :)

A day in the life of Sprout

6:09 Rudely awaken by Mom waking up and Dad coming home from work. They have not gotten the memo on "Quiet, Sprout is sleeping"
6:20 Rub up against mom's leg until I realize she's not Dad.
7:20 Still no sleep. Now Alex is awake and Paris wants to play. If only I could lure her outside........
8:30 Dad takes Alex to school. Finally, peace and quiet. Except for Paris.
1:20 Mom is home for lunch. Why must they torture me so?!?! I need my beauty rest. Being this beautiful just doesn't happen. Gesh!!!
4:30 Alex is home from school. I count the minutes until the house is quiet again. Maybe if I hide downstairs.......
4:45 There is a constant shadow following me. If only Paris would sleep! I shall make a plan to hide for the next time she is sleeping.
5:52 Great! Now Mom is home, too. Paris has a wild hair up her A**. I'd like to put something there myself.
6:00 Sing songs to self as to try and block out everything else.
6:15 I pass out
7:00 Mom! Put me down! I don't want belly rubs! I hate belly rubs! Well, this actually feels good. Maybe a little more. I meow as to call dad for help. He only smiles and says "Oh Sprouty" Help, me...... Purr, purr. Now put me down.
7:02 After what seems like an eternity, Mom puts me down.
7:05 I must fix my fur. Being this beautiful takes time. I will glare at mom for awhile.
8:45 Paris needs to gain weight. She is too fast. Why does she not sleep?
9:03 It's quiet now that Alex went to sleep. I must try to sneak into Mom and Dad's room before they shut the door for the night. Paris isn't allowed in there. It's the perfect place to hide.
10:25 Next time need to remember to go to the bathroom before being locked in Mom and Dad's room. I prance for awhile but, there is no one to see.
10:30 I pass out
6:00 I am rudely awaken by Mom's alarm clock.
6:03 I run to the litterbox.
